This device is usually worn every night, unless otherwise stated.
Brush and floss your teeth thoroughly before putting on your plaque
When removing the night guard in the morning, brush it with the supplied brush or your own toothbrush before storing it in the case. Toothpaste is optional.
Always let your plate air dry in its slightly open container.
You can use Polident or Nova dent ultra mild occasionally (once a month maximum) to clean the night guard more thoroughly. It is not recommended to use denture lozenges every day.
The use of diluted mouthwash is not contraindicated, but be aware that your night guard may take on the color of your mouthwash.
You can bring your night guard to your recall exams to have it checked.
An adaptation period is normal in the early stages of wearing an night guard, and varies greatly: from a few weeks to a few months. A little tip: start wearing it a few hours before going to bed, when you’re watching TV, reading a book, etc. Don’t be discouraged if you remove the night guard during the first few nights; the aim is to increase wear from week to week.
It’s normal for salivation to increase at first, but this will stabilize over the next few weeks.
If you feel any discomfort in your teeth, facial muscles or imbalance, it’s important to contact us so we can make the necessary adjustments.
To avoid damaging the device, always pull on both sides with equal force when removing it.
Caution: keep your night guard away from your pets.
